About Project
- South Umm Mattirah is awarded under Bid Round 9, situated within the highly prospective Nabitah-Duwayhi Belt of the Arabian Shield. The license covers an area of 75.85 km² in the southwestern region of Saudi Arabia, approximately 440 km east of Jeddah and about 70 km east of Ranyah city.
- The project area lies at approximately 21.358847°N latitude and 43.525752°E longitude, with an average elevation of ~850 m above sea level. The block is located south of the Umm Mattirah Prospect (MODS 1172), a known mineralized area within the belt.
- The project is currently at the reconnaissance exploration stage, focusing on initial geological assessment and regional evaluation. Field operations commenced immediately following license award, with the exploration team conducting daily on-site activities.
- Limited artisanal workings have been identified in the southern part of the license area, indicating small-scale gold exploitation and supporting the prospectivity of the block.
- ND40 represents a strategically located greenfield opportunity within a well-established orogenic gold terrane, forming a strong foundation for systematic surface evaluation and future target generation.
